In the future you should try using vs code for this type of stack. They have an extension pack called 'Spring Boot Extension pack' which actually works pretty well and will let you build the entire stack from one environment. I am not saying that the ext is as smooth with Java as Eclipse/STS4, but imo it is worth the trade off. The only big advantage of the java IDEs is that project setup is easier, but for spring boot we use Initializr anyway. For the past week or so, I have been messing around with building different types of Spring projects inside Code, and it is a lot more straight forward than I thought it would be…

I have a problem with Cross-Origin request in my browser when trying to access server, the CORS request is blocked…anyone had the same issue ?

Edit : In case you have the same issue, you can work your way around by using :
@CrossOrigin(origins = "*")
Though it is not recommended if you are in a production environnement.

Hi this is a very good tutorial, I was able to learn the fundamentals of Spring Boot and Angular and I was able to run the project and also created my own. Thank you very much

I have a question tho, I'd like to use the API into a simple html file with Jquery ajax (Not with Angular). But whenever I try POST or GET I always have this error in the console:

Access to XMLHttpRequest at 'http://localhost:8080/mynotes/api/v1/mynotes?' from origin 'null' has been blocked by CORS policy: No 'Access-Control-Allow-Origin' header is present on the requested resource.

May I ask how can I fix this issue, is it in my ajax request? or with the spring boot app? Thank you.
