Tech jobs are growing three times faster than our colleges are producing computer science graduates. By 2020, there will be over one million unfilled software engineering jobs in the USA. Through compelling interviews, artistic animation and clever flashpoints in popular culture, CODE examines the reasons why more girls and people of color are not seeking opportunities in computer science and explores how cultural mindsets, stereotypes, educational hurdles and sexism all play roles in this international crisis. Expert voices from the worlds of tech, psychology, science, and education are intercut with inspiring stories of women who are engaged in the fight to challenge complacency in the tech.

Let me get this straight, statistically less women apply for the job, less women are even qualified for the job to even apply in the first place, less women even stay in the position after acquiring the job over child raring and simultaneously cared for by their husband which is an option very few men can take over females natural selection, then it’s not indicative of a gender gap based on any sexism or discrimination. This “gap” is just a result of free will choices/preferences between men and women.. There’s more female nurses than men, more female teachers etc it’s choices not sexism. Different sexes picking/ choosing different career paths is nothing to be against.. What about the “gender gap” in sewer jobs, miners, garbage collectors, custodians and every other hard labor dirty dangerous job?… oh I see, it’s only a “gender gap” when it’s the most respected fields. Typical feminist thinking here looking for equality of outcomes isn’t the same as equality of opportunity witch women already have.

Expect a more authentic view of programmers in an 80s hacker movie. This is bullshit femanist propaganda. Just sensationalism and lies to sell a documentary.
