A business isn’t a way to get rich fast. A business is simply when you learn to do these 3 things really well:

1) Creating or finding great products/services to sell.
2) Putting those products in front of the right customers.
3) Giving those customers a great reason to buy.

And each person will have their own journey to get there with a LOT of hard work & sacrifices along the way 💪👊

On this channel, we discuss all topics for ecommerce business owners (with a sprinkle of motivation thrown in too) to help them master these 3 things! On this channel, we offer:

* Case studies on successful ecommerce stores.
* Tutorials for apps & online tools.
* Low-cost, beginner-friendly product sourcing methods (Print On Demand & Dropshipping).
* Sales psychology tactics to increase conversions & get customers to buy from you & to click on your ads.
* Videos to help you with the “legal stuff” (creating refund policies, setting up taxes, etc).

Question, do YOU think passive income exists? 🤔 Or is it just a fairytale? 🤑💸

Gary was responding to passive income based on that guy definition of it…

How much are your print on demand shops “passive”? How much time does it take out of your week?

If you even have billions in passive income but not happy then it's a waste actually!🙂

I think Gary's response would be you put in the time and work building your channel and creating these videos therefore giving you the levage and platform to therefore perform the affiliate marketing and get the commissions.

You create a product i.e. a shirt design(which has to be hiqh quality/trendy design) and if you're not an artist or not capable of making a design that would potentially be a hit, you are gonna have to hire an artist for about 50bucks upload int online then spend 100+ on ads hoping it will sell. So Gary is right passive doesn't exist because you have to put up the work upfront and risk your money on ads hoping it will sell. It's almost like gambling in a casino only this type of work is a bit quantifiable which means the more you know, the higher your odds of earning.

Great video. I think that Gary brings up a large point. You do have to create your website, videos, whatever it is. Research ect. Creation of content takes time, and we all know time is money. His point is – don't think you can put in 0 work and watch all of this cash flow come in. People tend to use psychology to their advantage when upselling by using the promise of "Making thousands on vacation" or whatever the heck it is. What people FAIL to explain is – YOU CAN – but you need to grow a brand, following, content and everything else that goes with it. I'm a new subscriber to your channel and I love the way your videos are engaging so hats off to you! It's really helped me start growing my affiliate income, YouTube channel, and following.

If I may interject, and I mean NO offense, your videos are incredibly inspiring. But I would say this is simply a matter of symantics. You have stated many times throughout your channel that it takes WORK to get to any income level worth doing.

This is not debatable BECAUSE you put in the work BEFOREHAND to create it and you were GOOD ENOUGH for it to keep bringing you money. Also, when staff members are included in your businesses, you clearly have to keep a look on them, you have to check on stuff, that's part of your WORK regarding those businesses. That is what Gary said and keeps saying, you have to DO STUFF for income to "magically appear" in your bank account. That's his whole point. Maybe you didn't get his way of saying it but that's exactly what he's saying. Passive income is when parents give their children money every week, you can easily call that passive. If you have to WORK for your income, even a few hours every week (or month) that is NOT , by all means, passive. Period. I greatly appreciate your channel and your content for years now and I think you are one of the best in the field, I just wanted to clear things out. Finally, Gary clearly hates the mindset of "passive income" because it blinds people as to what businesses actually require from you to make profit. You have clearly worked A LOT in your life to earn everything you have right now. And that is exactly what Gary is preaching about. Peace and good luck to everything you do!

Gary V is a one dimensional work-a-holic. I don't mean that in a derogatory way either. I've meet lot's of guys like him who will just flat out work and do nothing else but work. Society needs people like this. But most people want a more balanced life which is something the Gary V's of the world just don't get because they're not wired that way.

The issue was how the guy (who's English is his second language) phrased the question. Gary took it as him not wanting to work ever and be lazy on a beach. I took it was him wanting flexibility in his schedule to take off time when he wants.

Of course passive income exists too. I make a lot for advertising and Amazon Associates. I work a ton too, but am able to take a few days or a week off whenever I want.

I'm in this rut where I'm fighting for my freedom, spending constant hours learning and growing all while battling with suicidal thoughts, and mental health issues, from a very young age I was almost designed to struggle if not fail. being dyslexic, and having Aspergers and other neurological issues, I never use my set backs as an excuse, only as another obstacle to overcome, but I can't help but think…….. am I meant for more, unfortunately no one is there to help….. reality is, we are all alone, and there for must figure this out, alone.

  25. Mad Funny December 31, 2020 at 11:45 am - Reply

Of course "passive income" exist! Just ask the I.R.S.
For the people claiming, that doing some initial work, disqualifies an income source, as being "passive income" – are incorrect.

If you're one of those people – then you're not understanding that "passive income" is a specific tax terminology. If you're breaking the terminology down, into the word "passive" only, that is why you're incorrect.

I'll give some random examples of passive income…

Anyone who is strictly the "money" in an investment company, or investment opportunity. Any money they make, is 100% passive income.

If you have a stock broker that invests your money. Any profit you make from those stocks, is passive income.

Also, any other business, or source of income – where it is no longer necessary for you to do active work, in said business. This includes any business that you may have initially had to dedicate work to. The only time that business would no longer be passive income, is if the business made absolutely no profit.

Yes, passive income is a business that doesn't need you to be running it to make a living out of it. Internet made it mainstream but it does exist for years.

Of course passive income exists. Echoing what everyone else here has said so far … Gary is simply trying to get people to understand that hard work almost always comes before passive income. Gary has never been a lazy person, but many of his followers (many of us!) are. We want to get rich quick and passive income sounds so easy! Go build something meaningful, earn some money, and THEN make that money work for you.

I actually agree with both of you. What GV was answering to is that none sense of a question that man asked, I was laughing just hearing him asking it I thought he was joking. Passive income exist but not without working hard for it. So yes for that man case and the many like him Gary was right. And you are the proof of that as you state in every of your videos that building this kind of business takes work, heck even if you want to eat it will take work why would anything be different .
