I’m using a windows. And when I first tried this I got a “class not found” error. Then I noticed that when I created the class the package field is auto filled to redo.
Clearing this field helped. Just so if any of you get the same prob.

I am on windows I followed what the other comments said to instead because I’m not on Mac but it keeps saying “ ‘java’ is not recognized as an internal or external command, operable program or batch file. “ In cmd prompt I typed C:Usersmyusernameeclipse-workspaceHellobin>java MySweetProgram

Idk if people still use this but if you're having the problem on windows where its telling you to check your installation ad giving you an error, check this video out, it worked for me: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uzMaftJTN48

Also, to compile a code, you can type javac _____.java instead of dragging

  34. Kevin Liu December 18, 2020 at 11:13 am - Reply

    Quick windows error fix:
If you are using Windows and your eclipse workspace is not in C: drive, you need to type "D:" in the command prompt (or whatever drive your java file is stored in) to change the access directory.

For example: If your eclipse workspace is in the E: drive of your computer, you need to enter "E:" in the command prompt right after you open it. Only after you complete this step should you follow the tutorial. This is because windows cmd has a default directory access of C: drive.
