    Im using Netbeans Java 8 and have and error with thehandler class "GUI3a.thehandler is not abstract and does not override abstract method actionPerformed(ActionEvent) in Action Listener". GUI3a is the file name. Does anyone know how to solve it? Thanks

    Bucky,your tutorials are good but the order of these tutorials are not good;you should put “inheritance and polymorphism ” before GUI;if the beginners cant master the basics of inheritance and polymorphism they wont be able to figure out the content of this video

    For all of you that may struggle with an awkward error caused by String.format() line:

    Try changing your compiler compliance level to at least 1.5 in Project > Properties > Java Compiler

    Error at
    string=String.format("field1: %s", event.getActionCommand());
    method format(String,Object[]) in the type String is not applicable for the arguments (String,String)
