Thanks for the great video sir… In my opinion you could add concept of default datatype values while discussing datatypes…

Isn't type casting needed for other integer types like byte, short etc?

  4. Gowtham TG July 24, 2019 at 9:21 pm - Reply

    Int is not working

but you didnt talk about string data type? 🙁

This video should be called "What is a variable, and datatypes in java". You dont really talk about the variable types like (local, instance, static). However, you only touch on datatype mostly throuhout the video and then briefly mention what a variable is (which is common sense)..

Sir double has also different range so why we can't use double like float as u declared in float

  10. Aditya Bharadwaj July 24, 2019 at 9:21 pm - Reply

So an int type variable has the capacity to store 4 bytes.4 bytes can store numbers from -2,147,483,648 to 2,147,483,647.When I assign a value : 2,147,483,647 to an int type variable there is no error. When I increase this number it can no longer hold the number. This is normal since that is its capacity,it can only hold that much amount of data. But what is not normal is that when I change the data type to long it still gives me an error that the literal is out of range.Anybody know why this is happening and Congratulations if you have reached the end.

Thanks for sharing. The best video ever!
The best thing about the video is your patient speaking-style. It is very calm and not too fast. One does not need to pause the video again and again. Quick to understand.
Another excellent point I noticed is that everything is in a lot of detail. I appreciate the details, because it helps the beginners to learn more. Of course, if someone already knows about something, he/she can also fast-forward that part of the video. For me, everything was new and I enjoyed listening to you! Thank you once agani!
