trying this, doing everything step by step… almost nothing works… using intellij, i had to install tomcat by myself because maven didn't install it and couldn't find one, the configurations are out of date i guess or something but i managed to run it by myself… but then the servlet doesn't find the proper path once i create the new .jsp file it always gives me 404 regardless how many different paths i wrote to it it never finds it just useless…

if you have a red don't on your file please check out this link on how to fix it, chose which one works best for you, this worked best for me Right click on the project folder, go to Java EE Tools, select Generate Deployment Descriptor Stub
please don't give up alot of these tutorials or bull shit and they don't go over there code and some are just a little to fast, you have to do exactly as the video says what works for me is watching the video first without following alone and then re watch it following every step
