What do I do if I want to "cash in" my bitcoins for example?
Do I send them to my exchange account, sell them and then transfer them to my bank?
    Is that how it works?

Chris, I don’t understand. You said that you keep most of your BTC on hardware wallet. But how do you trade?
Lets for example take that you have 10BTC (it is all you have). And you want to trade for example BTC, ETH, FCT, XRP.
    What will you do?
You move some of BTC from hardware to, for example, BTCe, Poloniex, Bitstamp. Open orders and wait? And when the orders closed you move your BTC to hardware again? Or what? I just don’t understand your process. Please, describe it in more details.

With proof of stake in the future for ether and other progressive crypto currencies. Wouldn’t it be best to instead download and use the currencies proprietary wallet software(earn transaction fees)? In addition, you can then run a desktop in a raid 5 configuration and have the required redundancy. Am I wrong in assuming that if one of the hardware wallets you listed goes bad, you loose everything?

1G374PpwopwzcPK5uBGRxax3yD2cdgjMpG Took me a while to get Coinbase to work correctly as they are having their CC processing company issues still and for some reason my bank account verification deposits won’t show up, 5 days later. Had to purchase through Coinmama and got hosed in fees, but still, I’m trying my best to get this going. Been trading on Bittrex so far, as the latest Poloniex account locks worry me. Is Bitfinex okay now? I know they were hacked but it seems they made things right and have recovered.

Dude – you rock. Q: I’ve been watching coin market cap and seen some activity I’d like in on. However, a lot of these crypto’s don’t seem to have paper wallets available for safe storage. What is your strategy about transfer and storage? Do you just leave these sitting on the exchange, of do you know of a universal paper wallet generator or something else? Keep rocking.

Nice video! I have been trading for a few months now on alt currencies though I had BTC and DOGE as early as 2013. I don’t have super strategies and I don’t have a lot of time either. To some extent it can be a biiiig distraction. But I think there is some still good money to be made. It can be the starting point of something so huge we barely undestand now.

What is the advantage of a hardware wallet as opposed to a personal wallet where you still control the private key?

  33. Kurt Dobain June 19, 2017 at 10:40 pm - Reply

Have to ask your opinion about something guys that i noticed right after started buying. I visited most of the altcoin sites and they seem to have the exact same structure. Isnt that a bit suspicious? About 700 altcoins and all are using the same structure and format on their sites. Doesnt that ring an alarm and make you think that the whole market might be a huge sophisticated fraud? It certainly looks like the sites were built by one programmer alone. Bitcoin has same structure as well. About 5-6 tabs with same programming, exact same parameters. I’ll probably stick to bitcoin for many years as i think it can overcome any obstacle, but the rest altcoins idk seriously, they just look all fraud to me.

Hey Great tutorial!!. A good friend recently introduced me to this somewhat new form of currency because he knows I’m passionate about trading Forex using’s platform. I use their platform to watch the market but another for my brokerage account. I’m more of a technical/ mathematical trader myself and use 2 indicators being the RSI & the CCI and 1 tool being the Fibonacci retracement. tool. I like trading the bounce but also enjoy shorting the market when these 2 indicators do a certain dance. Lol
May I ask if Coinigy offers these tools and indicators. Honesty, before you can answer, I’d probably have already downloaded the platform to find out for myself. Lol. I’m excited about this new information and appreciate the awesome work you’ve done and continue to do. Thanks a million :>)

    Hey Chris,

Not sure if you answered this in any videos. I have experience trading the US Markets and follow your stuff, but I was wondering with the Crypto….. I have played with Poloniex, but the BTC to Alt Coin is really confusing to me. Any way to see this stuff in USD? It’s hard to deal in fractions of BTC to set target entries and exits.
