From ‘day in the life of a software engineer’ to ‘coding tutorials/how-to’s’ follow my life as I navigate the tech industry, and hopefully along the way, inspire others to learn to code! If you ever had questions about what is software engineering, or how to become an engineer, then you are in the right place! Anyone can learn to code and we can have fun and encourage each other while we do it 🙂

That was really helpful, you're very thoughtful and have a great voice 😁
Btw, what kind of job within programming one can start with python? For example, when I think of JavaScript/css/html, I always think of web development.

Amazing code along video. I have been looking for good tutorials to help me get started with coding that are able to help me understand what I am doing with the certain functions.
I am glad that I found your channel as soon as I start to begin coding with Python.
Keep making these great videos, I am looking forward to them. 🙂

YOU ROCK MAYA!!!! I just started coding. I decided over this time of Covid I should expand my knowledge especially since coding is the future as far as I see it. I tried another teacher prior to finding you and I just didn't think he was expository enough for someone like me who is just beginning completely. I decided to search more today and found you. I UNDERSTAND!!! You teach very well. Thank you!!!

Hi Maya, thank you so much for your video I am so new to coding.

I wanted to start learning Python so I downloaded it and ATOM but Atom just seems so weird to write code and I haven't been able to really figure out what I'm looking at on there.

So I am wondering should I just forget Atom and use repl.it? Is there any limitations from starting my coding journey with repl.it and using it for future projects? Does it look okay to use it in a professional space?

I am trying to figure out where I can easily write code that's visually easy to see and is okay to use for big projects in the future in a potentially professional space.

Sorry if my questions don't make any sense I am really new to all of this and trying to find a place I can write Code in Python long term that is user friendly.

Also, thank you for all your support and this video. You are such an excellent teacher, I love how you break things down and make it approachable for beginners like me. I took notes and I'm excited!

Yo, this video was awesome! It's been a while since I've been coding. Went along with this tutorial and you made it so understandable! Please do another one of these because it helps! Instead of using int I chose to use float because my hourly earnings is a decimal, worked perfectly. Have a good day! 🙂
