I was wondering if you could help me – I tried to turn off the side bar as I wanted only page content. But if I select the option for no side bar, it shrinks my website to size of the content page only (e.g removes the space the side bar took) – how do I stop it from getting smaller?

Agree, WAY too fast… Getting Started? haha This video is more of a, "hey look at me, look at what I can do" than being helpful to someone looking for a way to get started on WP.

  26. Mark DC April 26, 2017 at 9:44 pm - Reply

Thanks but you went so damn fast that first 20 seconds, I had no idea what you were doing. You are going to do WHAT on your local host? I did not know. What’s a local host? So I have to download the program there? So you downloaded files HERE — whereever that is, and then you are going to go to workspace workpress?

Im sure it’s all clear to you, but I had no idea what you were talking about. I gather wordpress isn’t a program I will see on my computer, unless I hire a "host"?

If I cant get this first minute of your video right, I don’t think I could possibly get what comes after that.

But thanks, I know it’s my fault, I will just have to find an explanation about this starting process.

You are not Ignorant. It’s easy but for completely newbies which I assume you are not anymore since this was posted over a year ago. That’s why my startup has made it even easier to install WordPress at bigbusinessweb(dot)org

Getting started with wordpress is very easy. This is why it is the recommended way for those who are still starting to build their website. It is very user-friendly that you would barely need assistance in getting started with it. Anyway, your video is still helpful for those who find it difficult (even when it is really easy).

absolutely great to give an overview about wordpress in a short amount of time. Other videos spend 2 hours to explain everything in detail. Thx for this video! Was exactly what i was looking for.

JREAMdesign, thank you for the tutorial sir! You are the MAN! And I hope you continue this stuff. Yes, I would also say that this would be too fast for beginners, but for experienced programmers, I think we can grasp it. Sir, can you also make a tutorial about Java EE? Thanks!
